This resulted in 3rd place among transport companies in Northern Europe.
GRESB has assessed our sustainability work for 2022 and awarded us even more points for our reporting this year than last year. In fact, we ranked best out of 683 companies in the “performance” part of the assessment. This shows whether the company measures significant sustainability parameters, such as greenhouse gas emissions, and sets ongoing targets for these.
Reporting and plans help to boost sustainability work
Since 2021, we have worked systematically with sustainability and all areas within GRESB. We have reviewed the areas where we have had potential for improvement. We had a record-high 94 points last year and now the result is 98 points. Commercial Director Lars Inge Vågen, who has overall responsibility for sustainability at Norled, is very pleased with the result.
– “Targeted and systematic work leads to progress. The work helps us improve the sustainability efforts we make that affect both the external environment, travelers and employees,” says Vågen.

What is GRESB
GRESB is a recognized standard that measures many different aspects of sustainability in a company. This gives us an indication of where we stand compared to many others.
GRESB annually assesses how well large and small infrastructure companies around the world are doing on a number of sustainability indicators. The assessments are based on a number of internationally recognized reporting standards such as GRI, PRI, SASB, DJSI, TCFD recommendations, the Paris Agreement and the UN Sustainable Development Goals in addition to regional and national guidelines. The comprehensive analysis goes through documented answers to a number of questions from more than 1,500 companies internationally.
