Battery company Ampere demonstrates green technology in practice

Ampere has won the Business Climate Award for 2014.

The award was presented at the Zero conference on Wednesday, November 12 by Kristin Skogen-Lund, President of NHO, Ingvald Strømmen, Dean of NTNU and Marius Holm, President of Zero.

In the citation, the jury states: “The winner demonstrates green technology in practice in an area where Norway is a world leader and where emissions are high.”

Deputy CEO Lars Jacob Engelsen accepted the award, together with representatives from the Fjellstrand shipyard, Siemens and Veivesenet. In his acceptance speech, Lars Jacob said that this is a great recognition of the rapid technological development that is happening in the ferry industry now, especially in relation to the environment.
