The two new ferries are longer, higher and wider than the ferries that have been used in Finnøysambandet so far, and they run on biodiesel. On deck there is room for 60 cars. And the rest of the boat can carry 195 passengers.

Norled won the tender for the Stokkvågen-Lovund and Stokkvågen-Træna ferry routes after delivering a concept that cuts emissions by up to 90 percent. Three new battery-hybrid ferries will enter the service in 2027.
