Norled’s new ferry, MF Hydra, was put into service today from Hjelmeland at 12:50. It was marked with flowers and gift cards for the first two passengers who drove on board.
“The boat looks great. Exciting design and excellent craftsmanship. This is very well delivered by Westcon and Norled’s project and site team. We are now looking forward to it coming into operation,” says Erlend Hovland, Technical Director at Norled.
MF Hydra will have a hydrogen system installed this winter, making it the world’s first hydrogen-powered ferry.
