The ferry will be called “Ryfylkeferjen” and it will be fully electric. The ferry will be equipped with batteries to avoid having to recharge during the day.
The ferry route will run between Nedstrand and Stavanger, serving all the Ryfylke islands on the route.
“We want our business to create positive ripple effects in the community around us. Therefore, it is very gratifying that this ferry can be built in Norway,” says Sigvald Breivik, technical director of Norled.
