Norled won the tender for the ferry connections Stokkvågen-Lovund and Stokkvågen-Træna after delivering a concept that cuts emissions by up to 90 percent. Three new battery-hybrid ferries will enter the connection in 2027.

GRESB has assessed our sustainability work for 2022 and given us even more points for reporting this year than last year. We were the best out of 683 companies on the ‘performance’ part of the assessment. This shows whether the company measures important sustainability parameters, such as greenhouse gas emissions, and sets ongoing targets.

Norled, Remota AS and Seam AS have today signed a letter of intent (LOI) to collaborate on the further development and operation of a control center for marine operations and autonomous operations of ships.

When today the MF Hydra is put into operation running on zero-emission hydrogen, this is groundbreaking in several ways. In addition to the major technology development, a great deal of work has also been done to develop rules and regulations to enable Norwegian passenger ships to run on hydrogen.

Norled is not using payment by AutoPASS electronic tags (OBU). OBU payments will be introduced for certain ferry crossings in 2020, but until then, please purchase your tickets as before: Ask for a ticket (includes the driver) according to your vehicle’s length, as well as tickets for all passengers.

Norled is member in the project that aims to build a complete liquid hydrogen supply chain in Norway for maritime applications. The project has been awarded a grant of 33.5 million NOKs from the governmental PILOT-E scheme
