Double baptism in Harstad

"Kvernsund" and "Ibestad" were christened in Harstad on January 31.

On Saturday, January 31, the time had come to christen the two newbuildings MF Ibestad and MF Kvernsund. Norled’s management was well represented at the christening.

Toini Løvseth, chairman of Troms County Traffic, is godmother to MF Ibestad and Jorunn Berg, the last mayor of Bjarkøy municipality, is godmother to MF Kvernsund. Both godmothers managed to smash the champagne bottles against the hulls without any problems.

MF Ibestad will operate in the Stangnes – Sørrollnes corridor, while MF Kvernsund will operate in the Bjarkøy corridor.
