New prices and discount rules for boats in Vestland

From 1. October will see more changes for most boats. The entire boating county of Vestland will now have the same rules and fair prices.

The most important changes are that the prices for traveling by boat are the same for equally long distances, and that the discount rules are the same for all boat routes. The changes are effective from 01.10.2024.

For the express boats between Bergen, Nordfjord and Sogn, this means, for example, that the following changes will occur:

New age limit for children and maximum price for children traveling with an adult
Discount on all round-trip tickets
Free to bring dog/bicycle
More people can travel with a student ticket
Group discount of 17% on adult tickets when 10 or more people travel together.

New electric ferries cut emissions on the Stokkvågen-Lovund-Træna route by up to 90 percent.

Norled won the tender for the Stokkvågen-Lovund and Stokkvågen-Træna ferry routes after delivering a concept that cuts emissions by up to 90 percent. Three new battery-hybrid ferries will enter the service in 2027.
