From January 1, 2019, the Norwegian Public Roads Administration introduced its AutoPASS ferry card. This replaced Norled’s value card, with a transition period of 6 months. As stated in connection with the change, you could apply for a refund of the residual value in the value card for a period of 3 years after this change.
This reimbursement scheme ceased on July 1, 2022.
We refer to the Norwegian Public Roads Administration’s ‘RIKSREGULATIV FOR FERJETAKSTER Applicable from January 1, 2019’, section 12.6.1.4:
“Value cards that become invalid due to technical changes in the ticketing system are refunded free of charge for 3 years after the date of invalidity. After this, the value card is considered worthless”
