The tour starts by bus from Bergen bus station at 07:25 to Norheimsund. Here you continue by boat from Norheimsund quay at 09:00 at the far end of the fjord to the village of Eidfjord.

On the tour you will experience beautiful villages and settlements surrounded by majestic mountains with snow-capped peaks. Please note that the bus starts from Bergen bus station at 07:25. Skyss bus number 925. This is public transportation and the bus leaves exactly on time. You should therefore be in place no later than 5 minutes before departure.

Departure points
Bus starts from Bergen bus station, platform 0, at 07:25. Shuttle bus no. 925. The boat departs from Norheimsund at 09:00, and goes via Herand, Utne, Lofthus, Kinsarvik, Ulvik and to Eidfjord. Return from Eidfjord at 15:20. Bus from Norheisund at 18:59 (Skyss bus no. 930). Sample prices are round trip Bergen-Eidfjord.

Ticket sales
Tickets can be purchased online, on board or at the Tourist Information in Bergen.

Student
To be able to buy a student ticket, you must be under 30 years of age and have a valid student certificate and semester card for the current school year.

Honor
To be able to buy an honor ticket, you must be at least 67 years old, or travel together with a spouse/cohabitant who is at least 67 years old.

Please note that the booking cannot be changed. Tickets can be canceled and refunded according to the current accepted conditions.

Eidfjord

SIGHTSEEING TOUR TO VØRINGSFOSSEN WITH GO FJORDS

This sightseeing tour starts in Eidfjord, and takes you on an audio-guided tour by electric bus, and includes visits to both the Norwegian Nature Center Hardanger and Vøringsfossen.

From Eidfjord, the bus will first take you to the Norwegian Nature Center Hardanger, where you can explore interactive exhibitions celebrating Norwegian nature, climate and environment. The center’s recently renovated panoramic cinema gives you a unique film experience from the national park.

The bus then continues up the steep and winding hairpin bends through the dramatic landscape of Måbødalen. When you arrive at Vøringsfossen, you have 44 minutes to explore the dramatic surroundings and take pictures of the waterfall. Finally, the bus takes you back to Eidfjord where the tour started.

Along the way from Eidfjord to Vøringsfossen, you will have an audio guide about the places along the route via the audio system on the bus, which will give you interesting facts and stories about the area.

Access to the Norwegian Nature Center in Hardanger is included in the ticket.

The tour starts at the quay in Eidfjord, right in front of the Tourist Information Center. The electric bus is clearly marked with “Go Fjords”.

Other things to do in Eidfjord

At the tourist office on the quay, you can book a rib safari or kayak trip on the fjord, rent a bike or canoe, and you can get maps of great hiking suggestions on foot.

You can rent a car and drive to the famous mountain farm Kjeåsen or to the majestic Vøringsfossen waterfall.

You’ll also find a good selection of cozy cafés and restaurants, and we recommend Italian ice cream: DolceVidda Iskremeri just by the pier in Eidfjord.
