The trip starts with a boat from Norheimsund quay at 09:00 and you can choose whether you want to get off in Herand, Utne, Lofthus, Kinsarvik, Ulvik or go all the way in the fjord to the village of Eidfjord.

On the trip, you will experience beautiful villages and settlements surrounded by majestic mountains with snow-capped peaks. If you travel early in the season, April/May, you may be lucky enough to catch the lovely flowering in all the orchards along the fjord. This is a lovely spectacle and well worth seeing.

The villages along the Hardangerfjord offer activities such as cycling, rib boat trips, kayaking, canoeing, art and culture. There are also many opportunities for nice hikes, e.g. Dronningstien, the 4 waterfalls in Husedalen, a trip to the foot of Vøringsfossen to name a few.

Sightseeing trip to Vøringsfossen with go fjords

This sightseeing tour starts in Eidfjord, and takes you on an audio-guided tour by electric bus, and includes visits to both the Norwegian Nature Center Hardanger and Vøringsfossen.

From Eidfjord, the bus first takes you to the Norwegian Nature Center Hardanger, where you can explore interactive exhibitions that celebrate Norwegian nature, the climate and the environment. The centre’s recently renovated panoramic cinema gives you a unique film experience from the national park.

The bus then continues up the steep and winding hairpin bends through the dramatic landscape of Måbødalen. When you arrive at Vøringsfossen, you have 44 minutes to explore the dramatic surroundings and take photos of the waterfall. Finally, the bus takes you back to Eidfjord, where the trip started.

On the way from Eidfjord to Vøringsfossen, you will have an audio guide about the places along the route via the audio system on the bus, which will give you interesting facts and stories about the area.
