We therefore decided to replace the engine and make upgrades to the gearbox and propeller system,&#8221; says Norled&#8217;s technical director Sigvald Breivik.    <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This gives us many positive consequences. A more modern engine will have significantly lower fuel consumption, higher expected uptime and lower emissions,&#8221; says Breivik. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>The upgrade of the ferry that operates the Skjeltene &#8211; Leps\u00f8ya &#8211; Harams\u00f8ya route on a daily basis means that M\/F Os is now a vessel that meets the most modern emission requirements (Tier III). In addition, the ferry has been rebuilt to meet universal design requirements. <\/p>\n\n<p>Norled has invested heavily in new types of vessels and environmentally friendly technology, and has developed solutions that the company is alone in the world.<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>&#8220;Norled wants to take a leading position in the green shift, but it is also costly.
