In 2019, CBRE Investment Management and CapMan Infra each acquired a 50 percent stake in Norled. The agreement with CapMan ensures CBRE Investment Management full ownership of Norled.  <\/p>\n\n<p>&#8211; &#8220;Norled is an attractive company due to the long-term tender contracts in the industry, which contribute to the company&#8217;s robustness. The Norwegian government&#8217;s work and support related to the green transition of the maritime industry and Norled&#8217;s commitment to new technological solutions to contribute to the transition is exciting and promising,&#8221; says Dr. Andreas K\u00f6ttering, Head of Europe Private Infrastructure, CBRE Investment Management. <\/p>\n\n<p>-&#8220;We have appreciated the collaboration with CapMan to develop Norled and now look forward to further developing a company with long and proud traditions related to sustainable solutions for the ferry and express boat sector.<\/p>\n\n<p>Norled has invested significantly in new types of vessels and environmentally friendly technology, including hybrid and battery-powered vessels and the world&#8217;s first hydrogen-electric ferry. The future ambitions related to sustainability are great; by 2030, Norled will cut CO2 emissions by 67 percent. <\/p>\n\n<p>Since 2019, Norled has invested approximately NOK 2.5 billion in new vessels, which have reduced CO2 emissions by 30% from 2019 to 2021. The number of low- and zero-emission vessels in the fleet has increased from 2 to 18.  <\/p>\n\n<p>&#8211; Since acquiring the company, we have implemented an organizational change, strengthened the tendering capacity and invested significantly in decarbonizing the fleet. The company is now well positioned to deliver long-term value under CBRE Investment Management&#8217;s ownership.
